Our Client, based in Melrose Arch who specialises in a wide range of online marketing and e-commerce-related fields, is looking to employ the services of a SQL Developer

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

Development requirements:
•Developing batch-based production systems to support operations
•SQL Server 2005/8 and relational database development experience including Transact-SQL for Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SSIS Packages and general queries
•Writing more complex queries for specialised requirements on current and new projects
•Developing operational reporting systems
•Ensuring that data sources cater for demands of ad hoc extracts

Admin requirements:
•Ensuring correct preparation of data for all operations
•Operations and maintenance of standard, routine queries.
•Operating, maintaining, enhancing and optimising systems.
•Additional tasks related to data extracts, automated operations and SQL queries as required.
•Assist Analysts with queries to support both business projects, operational and informational needs.
Skills Required
Mandatory
- SQL Skills
1.Database design and architecture
2.Developing Microsoft Transact SQL Scripts
3.Stored Procedures
4.Functions
5.Views
- Understanding of data and table management
- SQL optimization

Preferred
- Microsoft Reporting Services exposure or similar
- Development experience: Visual Studio
- Microsoft SQL Server DBA skills
- Other development languages
