Description
Our client is looking for a senior DB2 Database Administrator, the team is a development team, therefore you would be required to perform the following tasks, amongst other things:
- Create and maintain development database environments
- Assist other team members with query writing, performance testing and optimization
- Assist developers with the writing of database creation/update/alter scripts when moving software from DEV into QA environments
- Give team members guidance in terms of best practice in terms of database design, and query development.
- Relevant Qualifications

The target environment is DB2 version 9 on IBM AIX. In development, the client uses DB2 version 9 on Linux/Windows environments, therefore you must be familiar with these platforms.
Skills Required
3+ years DB2, Linux and Windows experience
