Description
Manage Infrastructure Technology solutions Architects (SAP, Banking, Retail/POS, Mobile/Internet, Front-office/peripherals). Drive the Analysis, Planning, Design, Document and Research of the Infrastructure Architecture of the Client across different Technology spheres with input from different Domain disciplines (Server, Storage, Network, Host, DR, Security but not limited to). Integrate the Sol Architects and Specialists with cross functional teams consisting of Business Analysts, and Enterprise & Systems Architects according to business project needs and Enterprise Architecture standards to provide market leading Infrastructure solutions that is reliable, available and serviceable. Manage budget and staff.
Skills Required
oDefine the principles to guide Infrastructure decisions for the enterprise according to EA standards.
oDesign and lead the implementation of an enterprise wide technical Infrastructure plan based on enterprise business requirements and infrastructure technology strategies.
oEnsure compliance with the enterprise architecture standards and guidelines.
oSupport Infrastructure architecture implementation and modification activities.
oOversee the evaluation and selection of hardware and software products, and the design of standard configurations.
oConsult with application development projects to fit systems to Infrastructure architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify the technical Infrastructure to accommodate project needs.
oProvide Infrastructure solutions to Infrastructure development projects to fit infrastructure to architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify the Technical Infrastructure to accommodate architecture needs.
oIdentify the organizational impact (skills, processes, structures, and culture) of changes to the enterprise Infrastructure.
oInfrastructure RFP/RFQ management, Research and guidance.
oBusiness Service Management discipline and product analysis and design
oDocument all technical Infrastructure design and analysis work
oEnsure the efficient management and control of function / resources in accordance with the stipulations of the PFMA, fraud prevention and risk management principles, legislation, company policies, processes, regulations, etc
Additional
oBSc or BCom in computer science / Information Systems or any relevant IT related degree or equivalent NQF qualification.
o6 to 8 years experience in IT disciplines in a client/server environment, including, but not limited to, technical architecture, network management, infrastructure development, middleware, database management, operations experience and knowledge of ICT technologies of which 3 yrs + relevant managerial experience.
oKnowledge of architecture methodologies, processes and approaches
oUnderstanding of IT infrastructure, vendor and product trends
oInfrastructure business case formulation & Interpretation
oHigh level knowledge of finance and Total Cost of Ownership
oQuality measurement metrics
oStrong understanding of client/server processing and object-oriented design and analysis.
