Description
We have a requirement for an Information Security Engineer and Support Specialist. The role will initially be focused on the PGP product set and the management of an existing large deployment in Johannesburg, but once this deployment is settled there will be opportunity to diversify.

There will be a initial period 4 -6 months where you will be on-site nearly full time at the client in Johannesburg CBD but with the back-up from the company, thereafter based in the office in Waverley and adhoc on-site support

The company’s team is comprised of multi-skilled software engineers and computer scientists, all of whom have many years’ experience in dealing with the complexities of various businesses and domains.
Skills Required
2+ years experience:
• Technical support – potentially onsite at a blue chip financial service organization
• Installation, configuration and management of security applications
• Onsite troubleshooting of production issues
• Architecture, planning and implementation of future strategies
• Project management and product deployments locally and within Africa

Any of the following will be advantageous:
• PGP certified technician
• Knowledge of Security and cryptography principles
• MSCE certification
• Active directory (LDAP)
• CISSP (or pursuit thereof) very advantageous
• Linux knowledge advantageous
• Network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, etc)
• Experience with enterprise security policy
